5 signs that a watch is truly a good buy
A good purchase is not always the lowest price. It is the watch that still makes sense once it is on the wrist: price, condition, papers, identity and real use must all work together.

The method before the model
In watches, it is easy to confuse a bargain with a good buy. A low price attracts, a good photo convinces, a famous name reassures. But a watch should be read more carefully: the same reference can be very interesting in one condition and much less convincing in another.
1. The price is explainable, not just low
An attractive price must have a reason: stock from a former retailer, a promotion, a less requested configuration, a model that has left the catalogue or a specific commercial policy. The right price is the one that can be explained without forcing the story.
2. The condition is clear before purchase
New, new never worn, NOS, pre-owned, former display stock: every definition has weight. Real photos matter because they show case, crystal, bezel, bracelet and any signs that may affect value.
3. Set, papers and warranty are coherent
Box, papers and warranty are part of the commercial story of the watch. A watch does not always need to be full set, but the set must be declared clearly and reflected in the price.
4. It has real desirability
Desirability does not automatically mean investment. It means that the watch has a reason to be searched for: a credible brand, a useful function, a recognisable design, a particular edition or a strong value proposition.
5. It is coherent with the person wearing it
Diameter, thickness, weight, bracelet, dial colour and style must fit the wrist and the real occasions of use. A good buy is the watch that does not remain in the box.
