Gold and rubber. Titanium and ceramic. Tradition and provocation. Hublot has built a luxury watchmaking empire on its ability to combine materials and worlds that shouldn't belong together — and to do so with a result that the market couldn't ignore.

Nyon, 1980: The First Time Rubber Was Used in Luxury

Carlo Crocco founded Hublot in 1980 in Nyon, on Lake Geneva. His intuition was simple yet revolutionary: to combine a gold case with a natural rubber strap. In 1980, in Swiss luxury watchmaking, this was an almost iconoclastic act. Rubber was an industrial material — it had nothing to do with gold, with luxury, with Swiss etiquette.

Yet it worked. The rubber strap was comfortable, durable, waterproof — and strangely elegant on a gold case. The MDM Classic model immediately found an audience among affluent sports enthusiasts and professionals who wanted a watch that could withstand daily use without sacrificing luxury. It was a discreet but solid success.

The real breakthrough came in 2004, when Jean-Claude Biver took over the brand's management. Biver is the greatest strategist in luxury watchmaking of the last few decades — the same man who saved Blancpain in the 1980s. With Hublot, in just a few years, he built something extraordinary.

The Big Bang, launched in 2005, changed everything. A 44mm multi-layered case combining gold, titanium, ceramic, and rubber in a visually striking structure. Six exposed screws on the bezel, an open case, a dial that reveals the mechanics. It's bold, it's loud, it's impossible to ignore. And it became one of the best-selling watches in the world in just a few years.

The Great Watch Families

Big Bang

The manifesto of the modern brand. The 44mm multi-layered case with six exposed screws is the watch that redefined sports luxury of the 2000s. Available in hundreds of variants of materials, colors, and complications, the Big Bang is recognizable at a glance in any version.

Iconic · Statement

Classic Fusion

Hublot's answer for those seeking the brand's DNA in a thinner, more everyday format. A more elegant case, a lower profile, a cleaner dial — but the same unusual material combinations and the same "Art of Fusion" philosophy that distinguishes every timepiece from the maison.

Spirit of Big Bang

The tonneau case — oval, smaller, less bulky — brings Hublot aesthetics into a more wearable format accessible to the female wrist. Same DNA, different shapes. For those who love the brand's character but prefer less imposing dimensions.

Tonneau · Feminine

MDM Classic

The origin of it all. The model that introduced rubber into luxury watchmaking in 1980 — gold or steel case, natural rubber strap, clean and understated design. It is the most discreet and historic version in the Hublot catalog, appreciated by those who have known the brand from the beginning.

Historic · Heritage

Each line carries the same foundational philosophy: the "Art of Fusion" — the art of combining materials, cultures, and aesthetics that shouldn't belong together. Hublot doesn't seek everyone's approval — it seeks the attention of those who aren't afraid to be noticed.

Luxury that doesn't ask for permission

Since 2008, Hublot has been part of the LVMH group. The acquisition accelerated already extraordinary growth — today, the brand is one of the most recognizable in the world in the sports luxury segment, with a very strong presence in the world of football, art, and contemporary culture.

Hublot brought something missing in luxury watchmaking: the ability to be deliberately polarizing. It doesn't appeal to everyone — and it never tried to. It appeals to those who want a watch that is a statement, not an anonymous choice.

What it means to buy from LuxuryInStock

The Hublot watches available in our stock come from authorized Italian retailers with unsold inventory. They are new, unworn pieces, complete with original box and documents, and with an active official brand warranty. Hublot is one of the brands with the highest secondary market demand — finding it new, guaranteed, and at a price below list is a tangible opportunity that rarely comes around.

For those who have always wanted a Hublot but were deterred by the list price, stock is the most direct route: certified authenticity, active warranty, documented provenance — and that unmistakable presence on the wrist that only Hublot can provide.
